Become A Reality Star

In an interview with US Weekly after recently completing a marathon in Las Vegas, Nevada Kate Gosselin, former reality star of “Kate Plus 8″ made it very clear she is still interested in continuing to work in reality tv.

“There are always show ideas out there. I have a lot of great ideas. Things are always in talks. I would love to go forward and do another show — whatever that encompasses — so at this point, there’s nothing out there.”

This is an interesting shift in attitude from where Kate was several months ago, where it seemed like she was confident she would give up on reality TV soon.  She has already done “Dancing with the Stars,” and one of the only other celebrity reality shows that might fit her interests is “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and unfortunately this year they are in the process of creating their first-ever all-star season.

Well, only time will tell what Kate might star in next, maybe she will create her on reality show???

The MTV Network announced yesterday they will be airing a one-hour special show called, “Restore the Shore,” to help victims of devastating Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey. This one night only show will include The Situation, Snooki and the rest of the reality tv cast of “Jersey Shore”, along with other guests, and will solicit contributions from viewers to help rebuild beach front town of Seaside Heights, which has been the primary setting and filming location for the Jersey Shore reality-show, now in its sixth and final season.

“Restore the Shore” will air on November 15 at 11:00 p.m. EST with a tape delay for the west coast. This could possibly be the first television show including the cast of the “Jersey Shore” where people are not getting drunk and getting into fights. At least with this episode if there is any drama, it will be for a good cause!  So make sure to tune in for this one night only fundraiser to help support the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Rednecks from around the good old American state of Georgia flocked from far and wide over the weekend, just to get a picture and autograph signed by America’s new reality star child Honey Boo Boo.

With her famous reality star mother June Shannon relaxing in the background, 7-year-old sensation Honey Boo Boo flashed some leg during her meet-and-greet at Lucy Lu’s Boutique in Douglas, GA this Saturday, signing autographs and posing for pictures with her redneck reality star fans.

The VH1 reality star Nicole Murphy is having an amazing week, her fabulous reality show ”Hollywood Exes” just got picked up for a 2nd season!  The same day her boyfriend Michael Strahan officially debuted as Kelly Ripa’s new co-host on “Live! With Kelly.”  We are sure this couple will be celebrating this week with their entertainment news!

The first season of “Hollywood Exes” debuted earlier this summer on VH1 and quickly became a reality show hit. Although the season two cast hasn’t totally been confirmed, Mayte Garcia, Andrea Kelly, Nicole Murphy, Jessica Conseco, and Sheree Fletcher may all return. It’s unlikely that VH1 would want to re-work the cast after just one season, especially a season that filled with drama and excitement. In fact, according to Starcasm.net, Sheree and Andrea have already been spotted with another famous Hollywood ex, Daphne Wayans, the ex-wife of Keena Ivory Wayans.

The reality stars Bill and Giuliana Rancic welcomed their newborn son Edward Duke Rancic at 10:12 p.m. Wednesday night in Denver, Colorado.  Edward weighed in at 7 pounds and 4 ounces and measured 20 inches.

“Bill and I are blessed beyond words to welcome Edward into our lives,” Giuliana tells E! News exclusively. “Thank you so much to everyone who supported us along the way. We are so in love with the little guy already!”

Bill announced his son’s birth on Twitter saying, “The ‘Duke’ has landed!

You may be asking why they had their baby in Denver when they spend their time between Chicago and L.A.  It was a doctor in Denver who they were seeing about fertility treatments that insisted Giuliana have a mammogram. Having been diagnosed early enough, Giuliana is now a breast cancer survivor who has become a prominent spokeswoman about the importance of early detection.

“The Bachelorette” reality star Emily Maynard recently denied claims that she was caught cheating on fiance Jef Holm — but according to TMZ, someone in Jef’s family is backing up the story!

The reality star couple are very much together now (just check out the photo above of the happy couple on Tuesday above), Us Weekly says they had a huge fight while vacationing with Jef’s family earlier this month.

The report said Jef also found “explicit text messages” sent to and from another man on Emily’s phone.

“It’s one hundred percent not true,” Maynard said to People of the story, with Jef adding “It’s just bogus a ‘source’ would [say] we were fighting. None of that is true.”

But now Jef’s brother is telling a very different story.  “I can tell you that it’s all 100% true,” Mike Holm tells Us Weekly today. “I was there and I heard the fight and watched the whole thing go down, Emily leaving and everything. I love my brother very much and, like the rest of our family, I just want him to be happy.”

Breaking News: Jef just tweeted about his brother, writing “It’s crazy what people will do, even family members, to see their name in a magazine.”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s reality star Kourtney Kardashian unveiled the latest addition to her clan on Wednesday, showing off her baby Penelope Scotland Disick for the first time since giving birth last month.

Kardashian, 33, posed with her infant daughter and her son Mason, 2, for the cover of the latest issue of Us Weekly, out on newsstands now.  She talks about her family and life as a reality star with a newborn in the article.

“Nothing could prepare me for how hard I fell in love with her,” Kourtney said of her daughter, born on July 8.

On July 25th we were fortunate enough here at Become a Reality Star to have an exclusive interview with the beautiful and talented Nicole Murphy.  Whether she is designing for her new clothing line, filming her hit VH1 reality show Hollwood Exes or taking care of her children, Nicole proves to be an inspiration to all women.

How has reality tv/ becoming a reality star affected your life?

I’d say that I’m generally a private person so opening up and letting the world see me and get to know me as who I am has been a big adjustment.  There are some personal problems that I might not want people to know  – but now they do – and surprisingly, the response and feedback have been so supportive.

What is the most positive thing to have come out of sharing your life on reality tv?

Regardless of whatever challenge you’re facing, there’s incredible strength and solace in knowing that someone else has been there or is going through the same crisis – that you’re not the only one.  Maybe someone can benefit from the lessons I’ve learned.  Also, it’s important to show women that there is life after divorce – a very good life. No one plans for divorce but if it’s unavoidable and in the best interest of all, then move on.  You can still go after your dreams.

Any funny behind the scenes moments from Hollywood Exes that you want to share with your fans?

Oh where do I start?!  I’ve seen Jessica climb a tree and she wanted me to climb it with her. There have been a lot of funny moments. Some I may have to keep to myself …LOL!!!

Did you always know you wanted to be a model and how were you discovered?

No. I really didn’t know I was going be a model – it just went that way for me.  I was just 13 years old when I (begrudgingly) entered a teen contest and was the 1st runner up.  Then at 15, I entered another contest in NY called the ITMSA contest. I won that contest and was awarded a Ford modeling contract.  I immediately went off to Europe and worked with some of the greatest fashion houses like Chanel, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent.

When will we be able to shop your collection on the Open Hours website?

This weekend!  We’re launching with a tight pre-Fall collection then Fall 2012 will be available in about a month.  Starting Open Hours (www.openhoursstyle.com) has been such an incredible outlet for the fashionista in me. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been exposed to many different countries, cultures and climates.  Blend all that with my casually glam California roots and you have a very wearable, versatile, and chic line of timeless clothes.

What are your 5 summer fashion essentials (clothing to cosmetics)?

•  Sunnies.  True to the Californian that I am, I always have a pair of shades in my purse.  I MUST… have this pair of Louis Vuitton with me at all times.

•  Lip gloss.  A girl can never have too many glosses, sticks, balms, stains, etc. for the lips.  On current rotation? Glitz by ARTISTRY.

•  Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. Just because you’re wearing flats doesn’t mean you have to wear rubber flip flops. These are like candy for the feet -  a must have in every summer wardrobe.

•  Tees, tees, tees. I’d be remiss not to mention my own Open Hours Sadie tee! It’s the perfect  deep V with a body that is just slim enough to show off your curves without being too tight.  Sometimes, I wear the next size up for a sexy “boyfriend” fit (not that my fiance would ever fit any size of this tee!). Casual and sexy.

•   Hublot watch. Gotta know what time it is!  Fly and functional.

Tensions were high on Sunday night’s episode of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” after Kris spies on hubby Bruce while golfing with — and wrapping his arm around — red head model Angie Everhart. Shocked by what she sees, the reality star mom manger tells friends at a charity event, “Sometimes I think there is another chapter for me,” and plots to get even by arranging a reunion with Todd Waterman — the man she admitted she had an affair with during her first marriage to attorney Robert Kardashian.

“I started doing reality (TV) 36 years ago, first show I ever did … ‘Battle of the Network Stars,’” Jenner said on the TODAY show on Wednesday. “I’ve been doing this type of stuff forever.”  So if anyone can keep up with a reality tv family like the Kardashians, it would be the Olympic star Bruce Jenner himself.  Without the strength of Bruce the Kardashians’ reality empire would probably crumble.
